The Terracotta Mug is hand thrown by traditional ceramic artisans in Nepal. This 12 oz mug will be your go-to for a morning cuppa, a nighttime tea, a moment alone curled up with a book or at the table sharing a drink, catching up with friends. Beautifully designed with a lovely feel, the top half in earthy brown tones, a subtle drip in blue glaze with a natural terracotta unglazed bottom. Aaaaahhhh.

More mugs from Nepal, please

I've ordered mugs from Tenthousandvillagess for years for Christmas gifts, after receiving a set from Nepal for my wedding. Unfortunately, Tenthousandvillagess no longer carries them, but they look and feel like they belong in a fine art museum. This mug is also striking as a work of art. This year I ordered mugs from Vietnam from Tenthousandvillagess: they are fine but they are not art and don't feel special enough to be a stand alone Christmas gift. This one does. If you are wavering, go with this mug made in Nepal. I wish there were more mugs, dishes, etc. from Nepalese artisans available!
